Angampora is extensively used for the fighting style performed by ancient Sinhalese in war. It has been built exclusively in indigenous hereditary form owned by Sinhalese and its eminence can be seen comparatively with other fighting styles in the world. It’s not an exaggeration in introducing it as a best fighting style considering the artistic value and the way it adapted in the war. Foreigners’ records will be evidence of on Sinhalese great victories. Using of this fighting style reveals in recorded history of 2500 years and it was freely practised till British Government banned and suppressed. Under the crushing policy it became a secret fighting style and showed the marks of decline.
